| Nicola Mulryan Originally from Liverpool, England, Nicola has been working with product marketing, art direction and advertising in Norway since 1992. Nicola has also worked independently with varied employers and customers such as, NaaringsAkademiet IT Oslo, Norway, Noroff/Multimedia and design, Oslo, Norway, Danevik Folkehøgskole/Media Drammen, Norway, Siemens Oslo, Norway, EDB Business Oslo, Norway, Ravenholm Computing Oslo, Norway, Gateway 2000 Oslo, Norway, Alladin Software Oslo, Norway, Ajourit (Merkantildata) Oslo, Norway and A-Team Oslo, Norway, Satema, Hubro Kompetanse, Styreakademiet, Norges Bank... Nicola worked for Destination Narvik AS, in Narvik Northern Norway after moving to Northern Norway in 2004. In April 2011, Nicola left Destination Narvik to work freelance. Areas of work included, product marketing, branding, product development, customer relations, press and media visits, location manager, cruise, exhibitions, sales and was responsible for all marketing material, including print, web and contact. Nicola also initiated the development of many marketing concepts to help develop Narvik as a tourist destination: Kids go Free, Tenk Lokalt (Think Local), På egen hånd (On Your Own), Utforsk Narvikregionen for første gang (Discover the Narvik region for the first time),new excursions for cruise, new identitiy for Narvikfjellet and the development of the tourist office and it's new location in Narvik. Photography is also a part of Nicola’s job, "having a background from advertising and Adobe software is a really great asset to any company today, it allows us to reduce our costs and become more effecient when producing for print and web. We don't need to outsource our marketing material to an AD agency". Nicola has also worked with Adobe PDF file format since it's launch into Norway in the nineties and was one of the first instructors in Oslo to teach and introduce it into marketing departments in many companies in and around Oslo. Nicola likes to keep the work flow digital and likes to keep printed material to a low. Think Digital! About Per Jakobsen Per's background stems from IT and engineering. Per has also worked with marketing, web development, project management -and is currently IT manager - CIO of the IT department at Narvik County Council, Northern Norway. Per has sales and marketing experience, working for global companies like Fluke Corporation (USA), NCR (USA), Philips Corporation, Eindhoven the Netherlands. Working within the Nordic markets with companies such as Lagercrantz AB and Metric AS working with direct sales and indirect sales through distributors and partners. When internet became commercial, Per changed direction and headed more deeply into Web Hosting, Application Develpoment and SQL databases and was development manager for EDB Fundator in Oslo (EDB Businesspartner) - He was later asked to join Effectio AS. Per's passion for IT led to the start of Jakobsen and Mulryan digital design back in the ninties. Per's role here has been consultancy within IT. "It's always a challenge to dive into coding such as ASP, XML, Javascript , jQuery, JSON and Ajax - to produce useful applications based on business needs and technology requirements. That's what it's all about - Business Intelligence and Smart Solutions." The Google Apps case The last few years Per has been working with projects for "New Digital Solutions" in the public sector. Narvik County Council is the first large public sector organisation in Norway to fully enter the Cloud market with a Google Apps solution for all employees -the process to fully confirm with the Norwegian DPA (Data Processor Authorities) gave valuable experience within this highly interesting and expanding field. Being Creative Being creative is important and by having a small company like Jakobsen and Mulryan allows Per to stay in touch with new trends, new technologies and new ideas in his spare time. Per also composes electronic music and play keyboards is in the band ‘Mothers Best’. |
